BCR 2D - Bidimensional Barcode Recognition

Fairly recently been proposed new types of bar codes, said two-dimensional or 2D. Compared with linear ones, the information is encoded in two sizes: many codes are a list of linear low height placed one over the other. The biggest advantage is obviously the greater amount of data can be coded in the same space (density), with respect to a linear code, but the disadvantage is represented by the greater difficulty of decoding. This is even more emphasized by the fact that, to prevent a damage of a small part of the code makes it completely unreadable, systems have been introduced error correction based on sophisticated mathematical procedures.
