Recogniform Mobile Capture is born from a need - before - and with an observation - after.
The need, more frequent, is that of having to scan paper documents on the road, without a notebook or a PC, and especially away from our scanner or
multi-function. The finding is that the majority of mobile devices on the market today that integrates cameras allow you to capture images.
When a photo is not enough...
In fact if you tried to use their smartphones to photograph a paper document the result would not be very exciting: distorted images due to perspective distortion, images containing elements external to the document images without uniform illumination due to ambient shadows and light, images blurred or shaky because of the precariousness of the operation. Not only that, there is also the problem of low automation to move these images in your document system remotely.
The solution: Recogniform Mobile Capture. Recogniform Mobile Capture is a system of document capture, integrated with any document management platform, composed of client component that run on any mobile device with iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone e Symbian, and a server component that run on Windows platform.
The client side consists of specialized App that allows you to take a picture of documents using SmartPhone or Tablet camera and send the pictures to the server via Internet, also accompanied by customizable metadata that may be useful to the document management system wich will come images.
From device to document
The server side consists of a sophisticated image-processing system that can identify and cut, automatically, the portion of image on the paper document, identify the correct orientation, correct prospective distortion, brightness and contrast balance, make any conversion to monochrome with dynamic thresholding and finally make available the document, TIF/PDF, along with any metadata to the document management system.
Customizable via a connector, it is possible to ensure that the documents received and processed from server ending up on third-party applications directly, without any manual intervention.

Step 1: Recogniform Mobile Capture connects to the server and retrieves information about the current user, so as to allow the use of templates for wich the user is enabled.
The definition of set-up parameters (right image) is only required the first use of App
Step 2: The user view the templates for which it is enabled, by virtue of the type of document you want to start drawing, choose the template to use.
Step 3: Depending on the selected template the software requires certain information (metadata), whose placement can be done by typing or using the pulldown menu.
You can also define the controls to verify the formal correctness of the data entered.
Step 4: The image is imported (from file o camera) and the data is sent to the server,
who will provide for the processing and release on the company management.
